Hi! My friends and I are coming up for a girls weekend in November. We are coming to the 80’s theme art night! My suggestion for the artwork is two different scenes in Dirty Dancing 1. looking out on the water with the trees and the reflection in the water. (I think it’s where Baby is talking to her father on the porch when he tells her he is disappointed.)2. when Baby and Johnny go off in the woods to practice dancing and balance over the water. (I would like to paint the scene not the characters ;))

Hi there. My suggestion for the artwork is the Roanoke skyline, with the stars, and some “Happy little trees”, like Bob Ross. We are looking forward to this evening. Thanks!

Hi! I’m with Amber & Jen’s group. When I think of the 80s I think- neon colors. Splatter paint. Pac Man. The movie Breakin’! And that grafitti! MTV when they played only music videos. Cassette tapes. Culture Club. Duran Duran. Michael Jackson’s red jacket and white glove. And again, neon colors. Lots of neon!
Amber & Jen were born in the 80s. The other one in our group, Sarah, and I were born in the 70s, so we actually remember growing up in the 80s!
This sounds like loads of fun and we are definitely looking forward to it! Thanks!
